Doncaster - once home to the highest count of HIV patients in the UK. Say no more...

Been to Donnie plenty of times due to work. Who would want to go there unless they were being well paid.? As for the Friend’s remake. I can proudly say. I’ve never seen an episode in my life. And it ain’t on any bucket list. So I doubt this will change much in my life.

Been Doncaster a lot in the past to work at the race track, main memory of the first night after arriving they laid out 18' copper cables along the track and someone possibly died trying to cut through it while trying to steal it.
The police were scratching their heads at whether there was a dead body to find somewhere as a result.

Other observations, lots of northern types

For any more full and comprehensive reports on little known towns in the UK, just ask.

This. It's not Sandbanks but its not a bad place at all.

Some of the countryside around is lovely too.

Doncaster the word just "sounds" shit, for some reason.

Although, that pub from that viral "best pub in Britain" video is in Doncaster. I've actually been in there and it's exactly as the video portrays.

Never been to Doncaster but I have one image of it

Used to work with a guy from there and he told us that after an unsuccessful day at Doncaster races one of his mates noticed the Rolls Royce of a bookmaker as they left.
Said mate climbed onto the bonnet of the vehicle to curl out a large turd on it.

Ag ag ag

Got the train to Boro a few years back (and a quick check tells me it was 19 fucking years ago.... shit). and had to change at either Doncaster or Darlington. I have no idea which one it was. All I know is I went into a pub and it was full of west ham and about £1.20 a pint

It wasn't planned. The B+Bs on the North Yorkshire moors were all full, and Middlesborough was the only place I could get in.

Its on the way to darlo MD.

Don't bd telling a Darlo.person ir a Boro one that the two.are interchangeable. It'd not go down well.

Think I went to Doncaster once on the way to Middlesborough.

Either that or Darlington. Pretty sure they're the same thing anyway.

Been there twice, once because I had to change there and train disruption meant I had three hours wait until my next train. Second time, I went there deliberately.
